I've been slacking off the last couple of weeks. I took a one-day break from the bathroom to mow the lawn, and the next day it started raining and didn't let up for a week. But today, things were clear enough to let me finish up the walls.

The last bit of Hardibacker is up. This was more of a pain in the ass than it looks.
All those long, narrow strips to cut. And towards the end, I was having to use some
of the leftover scrap pieces, because I was almost out of backerboard. And I also used
up all of the special Hardibacker screws. But that's ok, because I'm done with the
backerboard.
The official way to cut Hardibacker is to score it with a special knife, then break it along the score mark. I see them do it on TV, and I see pictures of people doing it on the web, but it never works for me. The break just isn't as clean and precise as I'd like. So I've been using a masonry blade in my circular saw. But the blade has been wearing out, and finally gave out when I was cutting the pieces to go around the door. The blade itself broke loose from the hub on the saw. So much for that. I tried the scoring/breaking thing again, with my usual results. I had been using a carbide blade on my jigsaw to cut out the holes for the outlets and stuff, so I used that to finish up the remainder.

Here's the inside of the closet, with bonus dramatic angle! I used drywall in here
instead of backerboard, because it's a bit more sheltered.
